Last night I did some last tests in preparation for upcoming travel.

Though the camera is not modified the h-alpha emission of the Rosette nebula is faintly visible, even though I had to process the image pretty severely to bring this out.
The constellation Auriga is part of the winter Milky Way and contains many bright open clusters. The most prominent ones in this image are M36 (top central) and M38 (top right). Next to M38 is NGC 1907, another open cluster which is much farther away. To the lower right the “Flaming Star” nebula can be seen.
