Less well known than the famous "Double Cluster" in Perseus, these two clusters located in the Constellation Auriga are much more different and provide us with a sense of the distances.
Notice the different color of stars in M38.
Near the Zenith where this image was taken the effect of light pollution is less noticable than in the Orion Nebula image at a lower altitude.
